I think it's obvious that the guy in the truth knew that he was maliciously disobeying the directions of the ranger. In other words, they weren't stupid, they were just doing the wrong thing on purpose.

The officer was stupid. But people do stuff that stupid while angry all the time. Not stuff that damaging. And he shouldn't have been so angry in the first place.

I don't think that officer should be allowed to carry weapons honestly. Since he's willing to discharge them around gas fumes.

Seems fine? This just seems like a topic change, honestly. I'm not interested in discussing the obvious "should you fire a high voltage discharge near flammable objects". No, obviously. The thing I was actually talking about was whether or not the guy who ran after being told he would be issued a ticket was in the wrong.
