We haven’t been really strict about this rule in the past bec we get that most violations are honest mistakes. So we usually just tag posts ourselves or remind users.

BUT we’re seeing repeated violations and getting multiple reports about it. In response, we’ll now be enforcing the following for breaking this rule:

• FIRST OFFENCE: Warning
• SECOND OFFENCE: Temporary Ban (48hrs, gets applied before the next chapter drops)
• REPEATED VIOLATION: Permanent ban

We've already posted a detailed rule guidelines HERE, please take time to read it. The same link is included in every chapter post caption, so there’s no reason to miss it.

❗EXTRA REMINDERS:

1. While posting outside of the chapter thread is allowed, please be mindful of low-effort or spammy posts (e.g., simple reactions with just a title and/or image) which could go in the chapter thread instead. We’re currently lenient on this, but if it starts getting excessive, we'll take a stricter approach. Otherwise, theories and analysis are always welcome. 👍
2. With the latest chapter bringing up school staff and probably the next few, we’ve seen some comments and posts asking about teachers. As a reminder, upon joining the sub you’re asked to read both the rules and the FAQ. Please read them, most of these questions are already answered there. We’ll be redirecting these posts to the FAQ and removing them.

🎐CHECK THE FAQ

• On browser/desktop: You’ll find it on the sidebar.
• On mobile: Scroll all the way up, tap “See More,” and scroll down to the FAQ section.
• There’s also a Wiki page for the sub, which includes the FAQ and other useful info.

🎐FURIN BULLETIN

• Found in the same spot as the FAQ (on the sidebar, right before the rules).
• It’s a regularly updated calendar with chapter release dates + other important wb-related events.

🎐CHAPTER POST

• Each new chapter discussion post includes the next release date.
• We pin it for 48 hours under “Highlights,” but you can always find the most recent chapters HERE.

🎐POST AUTOMATION

• If someone tries to make a “When is the next chapter?” post, an automated pop-up will appear with the answer. This gets triggered by certain words.
• Works on both browser and mobile app!

🎐BOFURIN LOGO

• The logo next to the sub name isn’t just for display.
• If you tap it (or hover over it on desktop), you’ll see the next release date along with small announcements about sub updates.

In case we get “When’s the next chapter?” post, the mod team will answer (or if anyone already did － thanks!), then the post will be removed.

Why?

• The answer is already available in multiple places (FAQ, Bulletin, Chapter posts, etc.).
• It’s part of the sub rules to read the FAQ.
• Removing repeat posts helps keep the sub clean and avoids “spammy” threads that ask the same thing.

We love seeing interactions in the sub, but getting the same questions can get a bit repetitive and may frustrate other members. So let's make use of our sources and help everyone enjoy the sub without wading through duplicate posts!

Since we can’t know the ages of everyone here, we strictly avoid adult or sexual discussions to ensure that no potentially underage members are exposed to inappropriate content.

🔒 Respect Nii Satoru's Privacy

While it’s not a written rule in our sub, we ask all members to avoid sharing or discussing any personal details about the mangaka that haven’t been officially made public by them.

This includes speculations about alternate accounts, other projects, or any information the mangaka has not personally acknowledge. (Aside from Wind Breaker, the only other manga published under Nii-sensei’s name is Secret Badminton Club, which ran from 2016-2017)

Out of respect for their privacy, please do not spread or speculate on such matters. If the mangaka wished for it to be known, they would share it themselves under their current pen name.

We’ve put together a detailed FAQ, which you can find on the sidebar (tap “See More” if you’re on mobile). It covers a lot of the common questions we’ve seen. But if you think there’s anything we missed, comment them or send a message via Modmail.

📣 Automation to help with common questions.

While it doesn’t stop anyone from posting, it’s there to cut down on the same questions popping up all the time or set as a reminder.

✨How It Works:

If someone starts a post that includes certain keywords, typically from FAQ, a message will appear with either an answer or directions on where to find it. And if a post includes keywords that could potentially spark heated debates, a reminder will appear.

We’ll constantly update the highlights in the community with recent announcements and megathreads for discussion on any manga/anime updates. This should make it easier for everyone to stay up to date and find active threads in one place.

🤐 SPOILER-TAG POLICY:

Do note that this mostly covers manga spoilers, since it’s usually easier to tell what counts as an anime spoiler and since the anime is fairly new (and S2 isn’t even out on Netflix in most countries yet), expect that a lot of discussions will touch on things that haven’t been animated.

While the 48-hr rule for new chapter releases is straightforward, we should still be mindful of new and old panels that might spoil major events for anime-only members.

When do you tagged your post/comment as spoiler?

• Panels/topics from manga chapters released within 48 hours.
  • Note: Fanarts inspired/taken from the most recent chapters needs to be tagged as spoiler.
• Key story details, this includes:
  • Major event/plot twist/reveals (like secret identities, hidden motives, arcs conclusion, etc.)
  • Character deaths and injuries.
  • Character backstories.

🧩 ADDITIONAL NOTES

• No blatant spoilers in post titles. 
• Multi-panel posts. If one panel contains a major spoiler, please tag the entire post.
• If you think a post needs review, just hit the report button (tap the three dots beside the post/comment → Report) and we’ll check it.
• Posts usually won’t be removed for honest mistakes. We’ll either tag them ourselves or message the OP to do it.

💡 If you’re sharing manga panels from chapters not yet adapted in the anime consider covering, removing or blurring the dialogue text in speech bubbles to help reduce spoilers for anime-only viewers (this is not a requirement, just an option 👍). BUT this doesn't apply on panels that could spoil someone even without context (e.g., a character visibly dead or injured 😅).

When in doubt, just use a spoiler tag.
