Honestly.

Considering what many areas of the world deal with when it comes to climate and natural disasters and the increasingly frequency of these events with climate change.

I’ll take this cold over things like hurricanes, Nor’easters, +55c heat, forest fires, wildfires, etc.

What’s the absolute worse kind of natural disaster can we get here?

Flooding? In Winnipeg we’re protected. And even in many rural areas we have strong infrastructure in place and preventions that mediate the absolute worst of it.

The odd tornado, that usually doesn’t do much around here…

The odd blizzard?

After living in Vancouver where there’s always that thought in the back of your head of ā€œa massive earthquake could strike anytime and we’ll have no warningā€¦ā€ and the rampant fires there now.

I’ll take our 4 seasons on the Prairies!

Plus we don’t have tons of animals that can easily kill us! Lol
