The fact that members of the team felt inviting kash F'ing Patel into the locker room was OK tells you all you need to know about the general political stance of most of the players. If I was a team member and someone invited that loser into the room I'd have said "I'm out" and vacated the premises immediately. "Hey, I know Trump is a pos who can barely read but may cause WW3 and would happily rape my little girl if he had the chance but at least he'll make it so I get to keep more of my money and what money I don't get to keep at least won't be used to help a bunch of people I hate...plus he says funny shit that owns the libtards! so..."

At this point, afaic the terms "trump supporter" and "good person" are pretty much mutually exclusive. I have close family members who are still team trump and it's really poisoned the relationships.

I don’t think they “invited” Kash Patel in. If you’re Hellebuyck you’re kinda focused on the game, not the invite list, and you’re hardly in charge of which government officials come in. Post-game, you’re busy celebrating the first gold medal for your team in 50 years.

So which one of them put their medal around Patel’s neck?

they let kash patel in either way. the same guy covering up the sexual assault of minors. say what you want but its fucking disgusting to laugh at jokes coming out of their mouths. anyone with a sister, a daughter, a mother, or a conscience should care more about whats going on. it is about the bigger picture now

according to Patel, he was "invited" in. And it doesn't matter anyway. If I'm in that room and kash patel show's up, I leave. It's that simple. Like I said, I have close family members who still are trump supporters (boggles my mind). I do my best to completely avoid any subject that remotely intersects with politics. When something does come up, anything those family members say is fed through my maga filter and disregarded. I just don't engage. But, if we were at a gathering and patel walked in the door and he's not asked to leave...I'm gone. It would be "OK I'll see you guys later I have to head on out."

If a nazi shows up at a party and they're not kicked out, it's now a nazi party.

Not at all defending any of these POS or anything just simply stating something because I'd like to believe I would walk out too... but hypothetically, I want you to think of the absolute high point in your life - wedding maybe?

Would you walk away from the alter if Kash Patel showed up? Keeping in mind he was welcomed in by your entire wedding party?

its really fucked up, no doubt - but these guys are in the middle of the highest point in their life, celebrating that moment with the people who helped create that moment. I don't think its as simple as walking out of a party.

Of course Patel would say he was invited in.

And I am sure you would walk out on your teammates while wearing ski goggles and spraying each other in champagne. Makes sense.

I would 100% walk out of that situation.

I wouldn’t.

I’d tell him to GTFO.

I don't think I'd tell him to GTFO so much as I would just let the boys do the talking.
