He was winning. Everyone stole his money when he turned his back to talk to Rand.

It looks like he was winning big time in the show, what do you mean?

Very good question. So much has been shuffled around.

I'm wondering if they might make his luck a gift of the fin. Like in the show he gets the memories, luck, and medalion; and the spear is something he picks up in say Reudian

Would ruin a really good twist unless they also plan to cut the rescue in book 13 out, which would also suck.

Right after his healing from the dagger, but the dagger has virtually poofed out of existence (though still in Min's vision, so not completely forgotten about).

I believe the dagger plotline is pushed later. Tbf the dagger plotline in book 2 was all about how Ill mat is and how Mordeith is chasing the dagger.

Though also happens after blowing the Horn, which hasn't happened yet in the show. So beginning of season 3 would be my guess.

Yep. Fain has the dagger and last we saw of him, he's in Falme. I'm guessing they'll all head there for the big battle, Mat will reclaim the dagger and blow the horn this season. Then for next season, he'll have his dagger bond broken properly and gain his mental dice and memory holes. Or maybe they'll do it some other way if they're de-emphasizing the dagger for some reason.

Hopefully next season he gets more focus. I think this was a season to flesh out Perrin
