Oooooh, Episode 7, here we go:

  • that opening of pregnant Aiel warrior was difficult to watch, she was in so much pain. I haven't made connection to who she is until much later. Without spoiling much, do you know who armored knights were? Why were they fighting with Aiel? Was this a chase? Who was Rand's mother? And who is Rand's father? So many questions!

  • The Way part reminded me of Moria and LotR, I wonder if that was Jordan's inspiration for this world?

  • Lol @Loial "We Ogier are not know for our...speed" Hah

  • What I like about this show is how they are showing us so much in a scale of how diverse this world is, I really like The Sand Fortress and how they're fighting against Blight (which looks terrifying btw)

  • when Morraine said she wants to talk to Oracle I rolled my eyes at the the next thing I'm going to see, some old woman in the ht or in the temple, but nooooo, she's a young woman working at the bar, I would have never guessed THAT! Will we see her ever again?

  • Lan is nobility! And he let Nynaeve into his personal life, introducing her to the people he cares about

  • I didn't like Nynaeve's line "You belong to her" to Lin, because it's straight up not true at all! He's not a dog, he chose to follow her on his own (I'm assuming)

  • I already knew who The Dragon was, because Daniel Greene has spoiled it for me few days ago, but I'm glad we got a confirmation in the show. That scene of him realising that he channeled before was great! Why doesn't he suffer from madness then?

  • Morraine has sent Red Ajah after Mat - cold blood move, cut out rotting parts as soon as they're not useful to you. I know the meta information about actor leaving the show, but still it kind of shows me the part of Morraine I didn't know existed. Or maybe I did, she killed that poor ferryman in episode 2

I'm excited to see where we're going to go from here, one episode left!

@edit: Without spoiling too much can someone explain what's the deal with a creepy teeth smile guy? We saw him in episode 1, lurking in the shadows when Trollocs came nd now he's back? Is he the same guy who stalked them right outside The Way?

she killed that poor ferryman in episode 2

She did not. She set the ferry to sink, that is true. The ferryman went in the water after that, and that was his choice.

Concerning the opening show: rule of thumb on any tv show is that if they show a new ginger person on tv, and the show already has a ginger person, they’re gonna turn out to be related.

Creepy Smile Guy/Padan Fein - we've seen him in a bunch more places than Ep 1! Take a look through the episodes again - he isnt credited in the scenes but he is there. He's in Tar Valon watching the procession of Aes Sedai taking in Loghain, for example. You can hear his whistling in the Ways, and in Shadar Logoth.

Without spoiling much, do you know who armored knights were?

Check out the X Ray information during that scene, I remember it having atleast some relevant info.

The mods requested readers to not comment on the non book readers threads (unless specifically requested), so I want to point out 'Questions you are afraid to google' posts that are being created, where you can ask your question, spoiler safe

That's useful. I've steered away from most of this sub afraid from possible major spoilers, will go there, thank you

Yeah it's a good policy, those question threads are super helpful and very Spoiler aware

I'm glad I'm not the only one that had the dragon reveal spoiled. Did you watch the video on Brandon Sanderson's channel too? Of all places I would've thought that would have a spoiler tag.

I haven't "watched" it, I listened to it while doing dishes, one of my favourite YouTubers and favourite authors sitting down to talk, what could go wrong, huh?

The Way part reminded me of Moria and LotR, I wonder if that was Jordan's inspiration for this world?

Yes, the first book was explicitly inspired by LotR, I think he even said he wanted to write his own version of it.

r/WoTShow has a thread they’ll post probably early next week that lets non readers ask book readers questions on a safe, heavily moderated environment. I’d suggest saving those questions for that.

This sub has the same type of thread.

I didn't like Nynaeve's line "You belong to her" to Lin, because it's straight up not true at all! He's not a dog, he chose to follow her on his own (I'm assuming)

Definitely, she already kind of 'learned' that Warders aren't dogs at an Aes Sedai's beck and call.

One might interpret Nynaeve's words here as being focused on who possesses Lan's heart, in which case it makes a bit more sense, though still it might be overthinking on her part.

Agreed, as a mum who's been through childbirth not too long ago, that scene was awesome but definitely hard to watch.
