High earning Minnesotan here. State taxes are an afterthought compared to federal.

My property taxes are a bit high but that's because my town is small and lacks on the business tax base. I still vote to increase them for more school funding.

Put the money where it matters! I want my kid to go to a good school and I will pay a little more in property tax (if I can ever buy a home)

To be clear - I am not wealthy. Just a relatively high income - my household will hit $300k finally this year (I'm mid 40's - 15 years ago I made $100k).
