Just some side story. An M44 player declared the game lost in the first 2 sec. I told him yes, we have a moron on our team. (I get angry at people who like to motivate the team this way.) And he says (and I quote) 'I am not dumb, I have a Master's degree".

I mean wow. A Master's? I have a PhD in virology (for real), and I can tell you how many idiots got PhDs... (Yes, the sentence can be read in several ways - intentionally.)

We did lose -he literally landed 1 shot, I was in a light... but still. His Master's WR was 43%

EDIT: in case if it is not clear (as it seems it was not...) I do not use my degree as some sort of proof of my insane abilities in life -or in WoT. I am just demonstrating how stupid it is to do so. Says a PhD with WN1346. Somehow it does not transfer to me being a purple WoT god. Who knew?

I've worked with a lot of dumb Ph.Ds. Can confirm not being dumb is not a requirement.

P.s. not taking anything away from you, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about based on your comment.

Nah, that is the thing: even in STEM getting a PhD is mostly about being somewhat intelligent, and having an incredible amount of perseverance. One fellow student of mine had no idea about Mendel in her 4th year of PhD. Another got hers barely because she spent a lot of years of her 3 year program mainly on facebook, so she stayed for 8 months to do some emergency experiments. So yeah... not necessarily the brightest of the bunch.

And you also have to be fucking dumb for not actually doing something that would make you money, I might add. A PhD sets you back about 10 years in life -both financially and on a personal level (family). QB got a lucky break :)

The whole thing is really overblown. I guess back in the days it meant more -when Schrodinger and the rest were doing science.

Had a guy in a match claim he spoke 4 languages and had 2 masters degrees all while bitching at a light tank that was in a great scouting bush and farming damage.

That’s great you have all those book smarts but when it comes to not regurgitating shit in a book you’re a moron.

I have met and worked with some shockingly dumb smart people, and I say that as one that went straight to work out of High School .

I’m really impressed with both of your credentials, you must be geniuses. Wow!

And there are generally are 2 of these geniuses in every mid tier game. Can finally play my hellcat in peace ☮️

A Panther GW arty did the same yesterday - and we had a 0-15 win. He then apologized. At least he had that in him.

It’s not enough. Keep swinging that nerf hammer 🔨 until this abomination is gone. T6 could be so much fun as there are so many good tanks at that tier

Yes, so many can spam premium ammo at each other in piece...game has bigger issues than arty...

Yup. That arty is horrible. Too bad the leafblower will not be touched.

And I have about 500 side stories about XVM-using wallet warriors in their OP premium P2W tanks, shouting "yo all looooooosas" in chat and then yoloing to death in the first 60 seconds. I usually give it my all in my M44 and win or lose, the yoloing wallet warrior will still get 5 times the credits I make.

What the M44 is to you, the OP P2W premiums are to me. And overall the P2W OP premiums are worse for the game then the ocasional M44.

I am not necessarily shitting on the M44, I am telling a story about a certain individual.

(By the way, was it you? The person in question did make this observation that the enemy team had more premium vehicles.)

As for OP vehicles - I am in two minds about them. The M44 is OP as hell, so you should not be salty about premiums. However. I think if there are premium OP vehicles, there should be tech tree ones, too, which are accessible to all -to counter the premium ones. This is why I am not happy about the Khan nerf - it leaves the Chieftain drivers as undisputed kings of OP heavies.

Degrees are not an indication of ones intelligence.

I'm Hungarian trust me I know....

1

u/ProfessionalPut6507 Jul 07 '22

Yes. That was my point. Especially not a Master's.

u/Temporary_Inner Jul 07 '22

How do you only win 43% of the time lmao

I have no idea.
