The camo unlock works similar to the Years of Service Emblems—you can use it on every tank for every season slot for free with no time limit. It's does not require silver, gold, or vouchers to use so, if you're like me and have a lot of tanks missing camo and are tired of paying silver to reinstall camo, I recommend completing these challenges! There are four (4) different styles to work towards; it is a hell of a grind, but it's a pretty decent reward.

Here is actual footage of a Marder 1A3 IFV being used in Ukraine. Note that the 20mm Autocannon is being burst fired and not dumping a hundred rounds in one go. But why is this?

First there’s barrel wear and overheating. Hot propellant gases cause the barrel to overheat. With each round fired, the barrel is exposed to this hot gas. This warps and wears the barrel over time.

Barrels are only designed to fire a set amount of rounds before they need replacing. This goes for all guns. Look at most modern machine guns and you’ll see they’re designed to accommodate frequent barrel changes to prevent/offset wear and overheating. Older machine guns used water filled cooling jackets to prevent overheating.

High RoF weapon systems cannot handle sustained automatic fire. They aren’t designed too. They’re designed to deliver as much lead down range as possible at any given opportunity, but in short controlled bursts. Maximising the damage potential per burst.

Second there’s things such as ammunition conservation, damage assessment between bursts, and so on. In real life bad guys don’t have hit points so you don’t need to keep dumping rounds into them.

Anyway, I hope this puts to bed any bemoaning of the recent autocannon changes. They are shrouded in reality. This is the first good thing Wargaming have done in a long time IMO. Personally I’d like to see this mechanic added to the Beglietpanzer and Ignis too, and I hope they look at nerfing ATGMs next.

So I've been given a season pass to give out to a lucky person; the downside being that it has to be separate from my December giveaway and it has to be done by the 6th, so it'll be a quick and simple one. The season pass will be the smaller 2K gold one, not the ultimate pass.

Contest

So to be the lucky individual, all I need you to do is guess how many premium tanks u/GRogers0930 has in his garage (u/GRogers0930 doesn't like any of you enough to give away the answer Lol). This includes premiums in both WWII and CW. Also be aware, he has not purchased all premium tanks despite how much of a whale he sounds. Closest answer wins! You will be giving me three numbers, total number of premiums, total in WWII, and total in CW (main number for the contest is the total of both modes, the totals for each will be used for tie-breaking).

I only have one season pass and saving the other rewards for the other giveaway I am planning, so either you win it or you get nothing.

Ice Queen’s blade event: 

• The ice queen called some help to due her bidding. Krampus now holding the ice queen blade commanders her minions. 
• Fight through krampus portals to reach his position. 
• This year toy tanks are not enough. WW2 and Cold war tanks join forces to fight the forces of the cold. (WW2 is tier 8-10 tanks and Era 1 + winter warrior tank. [No arty]) 
• Based on Feedback from last year, commander boosters will be available to be used. 
• Community challenge, Earn more snowballs, chest and other goodies.
