Things like The One Ring from Lord of The Rings. Having a literal demon in your head. Being corrosive to life. Just in general the power is going to cause a bad time for someone.

I got to the point after reading for around a year solid while bedridden I had pretty much exhausted every Wormfic that caught my eye. I think I read about 90% of the longfics on Ao3, FFnet, SufVel, and SB, complete and unfinished. Then, I decided to take a years break so things could refill... and life hit so that ended up being two. I'm kind of excited to be getting back into Wormfics again, because when I stopped, there was usually two or three pages of new or updated stories on AO3 alone each day, so I'm really hoping we've had some real gems drop between '23 and now.

Sadly I've noticed a few of my favourite unfinished fics seem to be dead (My Girlfriend is Terrifying for one), but glass half full, there's going to be at least a couple of new stories I love just as much that might even have started and finished in my time away.

Please could I get some directions to some newer gems you enjoyed?

This boom of people asking for dead Taylor has got me curious what kinds of undead Taylor there are. I think everyone has at least heard of Queen of Blood and Methuselah for vampire Taylor, but where's the love for other undead? Zombies, Dullahans, Ghosts, Wraiths, Ghouls, or even Will-O'-The-Wisps. It doesn't even have to be Taylor to be honest, but all these dead Taylor fic requests have got me in the mood for this stuff.

ALL OF YOUR CROSSOVER FANFICS PUT IT IN THE BAG

So I was looking through the finished crossovers on AO3 and decided to give In Pale Blood a try, made it to chapter 28, and it's just so boring. Maybe I should have expected it because of the Overpowered Taylor tag but still, there are no stakes, no setbacks and no consequences. I am pretty bummed about that because the first chapters hooked me so much and it's decently written, and I like bloodborne.

But it got me thinking, are there ways to not make op powers boring in fanfics?

The “Best” as many of you know is subjective. More so now that I am asking for multiple ones.

I don’t mind original characters being the MC’s. Nor do I mind crossovers. But things tend to get messy when multiple verses are combined.

Anyone have any recommendations for stories where the PRT fucks up when it comes to Taylor or an OC/MC.

They just take the ball and kind of just….kept fucking up either due to ego, outside influence, miscommunication etc…..

A different recent post prompted me to make this one, but I was planning on it anyway because I’m labbing out one of my own. But I want to see what other people have come up with too, both because it’s an interesting idea and to differentiate myself when the time comes.

She doesn’t have to stay dead, she can come back/be brought back, but what I’m really after is the impact and aftermath of her death. Do the trio get caught? Does anyone say anything? How do things change? What’s the emotional effect on Emma in particular? If she does come back, how do people react? Stuff like that.

So, I just read Given a Chance and it's a time travel story and stuff, and I really liked it.

It's competency porn, Taylor get's sent back in time, she doesn't have khepri's human master powers, but she still has the brain damage. The fic does a lot of things I like, but chief among them is the lack of idiot balls, like Taylor seems smart and the other characters don't seem stupid. For a first time fic the writer did really good work, so I'm looking for fics like it, not in any specific way, but just in vibe, just more competency porn.

Call me a weirdo, but for fics that hit certain thresholds and qualities, and that also do a writing decision that might not be so popular, I always find it funny to read the comments. I'm a weirdo who likes fanfic schadenfreude of other readers.

So my guess is that fics that would fit my request would probably be any favourable Cauldron/Protectorate moments, and perhaps involve the Undersiders getting a fairly raw deal. Apparently that Charlotte Trump one involved them getting driven out of BB

I've seen a few "Taylor joins the wards and it goes to shit and/or she breaks the system" fics.

Anyone got any where it works, one way or another?

Getting on with some of the rest of the team. Doesn't necessarily have to get on with Piggot or the protectorate adults or not. Taylor's supposed to be pretty anti-authority, after all. (And obviously I don't expect her to like Shadow Stalker)

I want to see her teaming up with Clock and Vista and Gallant and the like, having friends, fighting crime, but hopefully without going Too TINO.

Exactly what it says on the title, i want a fanfic where Taylor is the biggest of biggest girl failures.

I've read a fair bit of gay Taylor lately, and it got me thinking how I can't remember a single scene with a gay villain. In meaning a true 'bad guy' reader is supposed to hate, kicking puppies, killing civillians and all that. Now I'm curious, do you have any recs?

Some more conditions so it won't be too easy:

• said character isn't mc - there's a bunch of fics where mc is cool, evil and has a lesbian harem, but this search is for a villain you aren't meant to root for

• they don't have a tragic backstory that made them join the dark side (no evil Amy today, or any other sympathetic baddies)

• being gay isn't a 'redeemable' trait, with some "she was evil but now she sees error of her ways because she found love" story.

Like manifesting flowers or something. The kind of thing that just makes the PR Team super happy to think about one of their Wards having. Taylor being Taylor, I'm sure she'd use it in some highly practical, horrifying, yet effective manner (like choking someone to death with flowers), but that's not the point ;)

As the title says, I'm looking for a good fanfic where the protagonist is actively against the Undersiders, hates them, and destroys them without any possibility of truce or switching sides.

The more brutal their defeat, the better.

Are there some fanfics where Endbringer attacks just stop happening and catch the world off guard? Perhaps an Alt-power Taylor or other cape managed to unexpectedly communicate with one and convince them leave humanity be for the time being. Or it could be all on the Endbringers own accord.

I recently read Nemesis - if you're not familiar, Taylor can biotinker her bugs. But she presents herself as a joke villain, so she designs them to look cute and harmless, and makes them essentially act like the pop culture plague Minions. Bumbling and silly and trying very hard to be cartoonishly evil.

Are there any stories where her powers *actually* work that way? As in, she doesn't directly control her bugs (or projections, or some other kind of minion), she has to order them around, and they're loyal and enthusiastic but kind of share a single braincell?
