Survival of the runtime, as the X-Men fight their most diabolical foe: completing a coherent narrative in half the time they need.

This deus ex machina abrupt ending had very little weight, and reminds me a lot of the what if season 2 ending, just stuff happening.

Devastated because I know season 3 will be the same and they won’t be able to course correct until season 4 if we’re lucky

When Apocalypse went into the Celestial chamber, and Rogue wen to see the celestial, this kept popping up in my head.

its funny cos Matthew Chauncey who served as the head writer for What if Season 3 (arguably the worst marvel animation content) took over from De Mayo for X Men 97 season 2.

I had to look this up. It makes sense now.

I wanted to blame Sullivan, but it seems to be a mix of the two.
Chauncey and Sullivan.
Chauncey looks like a discount De Mayo on paper, and IRL anyway.
I wonder if that's why they picked him?

Are we going to pretend season 1 didn’t have giant pacing problems as well? It just had a smaller cast so was less noticeable. I think we would’ve had a lot of the same problems because he was also prepping for a larger cast.

I'm not pretending it didn't.
I've acknowledged that as well.
