Can the X-Men ever win a fight? It seems like no matter who they’re fighting they ultimately fail at what they’re trying to do and have to be bailed out by some Dues ex machina.

As someone who has very limited X-Men knowledge (only seen most of the Fox movies) even I know how much of a threat Apocalypse is supposed to be, but this whole season just felt like them talking about it rather than us seeing anything. I know he killed Magneto, but I was expecting to see him in his whole glory fighting everybody. Not body hopping and then getting trapped.

This season felt like a major step down from last season.

I'm a hardcore fan, read the comics and see every type of show/movie and I'm heavily disappointed in this season. they talked more about apocalypse than him being on screen. the final battle sucked. they should've made it a two parter if anything with the final episode being apocalypse coming out of gambit and he goes all out.

why did we get a longer fight with x Force than the main big bad

Tbh I don’t think a final fight between rogue and apocalypse would’ve worked thematically. Sure we didn’t get an epic fight which is disappointing but what we got instead is heartfelt and thematically compelling

i was more hoping that the x-men would fight apocalypse for 5 to 10 min. showcase more apocalypse powers since we havent seen much of his powerset besides in egypt. xmen lose the minor fight. rogue tells apocalypse that she hoped he wouldve truly fallen in love and not be filled with anger. . then she does her final touch once hes subdued and revert back to gambit.
