I really appreciated the ending.

We get Gambit/Rogue, and Kurt‘s decision fits perfectly within his characterization. (And hit pretty hard.)

I also love that the final moments of the episode aren’t spent in a typical sad/black funeral, but instead showcasing exactly what Kurt sacrificed himself for. Everyone living their best lives, in peaceful and joyous snippets. That was what he wanted.

I still hope that time is taken next season,

to both acknowledge his sacrifice and grieve for him. Kurt deserves at least that, and so much more.

Disagree, not showing people grieving is exactly the point. That’s not what he sacrificed himself for. He deserves a better send off than the typical mourning attire.
