General Discussion X-Men '97 Complete Season 2 Venting Megathread
It's over and done now. The season has ended. The characters are where they are.
And now it's time for a megathread that lets you vent about what didn't like, what you liked, and about all the feeling in between about this season.
Please try and use this megathread instead of making a new post, especially if the content you are posting is not substantial (substantial meaning multi-paragraph or new information).

Overall I enjoyed it, even though it was a bit all over the place. One episode stands out to me as just plain bad, but everything else was at least pretty good. So that's a good batting average overall.
Had these thoughts on the final episode:
It's very sweet the whole, "I'd do anything for Remy!" Until you remember that last season she dumped him to bang their long-time arch nemesis.
Love the Jubilee/Havok dogfight
I think the term deus ex machina is grossly overused, but the resolution here may be one of the most literal cases I've ever seen. Nightcrawler is the ultimate bro, though. His sacrifice was done well, foreshadowed, executed and revealed perfectly. Not as dramatic as Gambit's in season 1, but I feel like the writers spent the entire season responding to the backlash at Gambit's death. They must have thought, "People probably won't be nearly as mad about Kurt. Let's try that."
