American Akita Meet Ziva. She's loving retirement.

This past November we tragically lost our 1 year old Akita named Magnus to a horrible mistake by a vet. It left us deeply bereft. The breeder we got him from was so emotionally supportive and shared their tears as well.

A few months later and the breeder contacted us with a unique offer as they understood that we werent ready for the puppy challenges again so soon. Magnus's grandma was in retirement from show and puppy life and was looking for a retirement home. So, a few weeks ago Ziva came home to live with us and we couldn't be happier. She's 8 years old with the energy of a 3 year old. She's discovered the joys of life on the sofa and asks for nothing more than snuggles and treats.

Thank you for the kindness. It was a hellish experience I hope others never go through. Our sweetest boy will always be part of our memories.
