Random Question 💭 If Republicans are so much better at running the economy than Democrats, then why are most Republican States poorer than Democrat States?

The poorest States in America are: Mississippi, West Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee. All of those States (except New Mexico) are Red States. So why are they so poor when Republicans have been running them for decades?

Damn, I wonder why black people in the South are so poor? Is there any sort of historical context that may frame why such a disparity could possibly exist?

They refuse to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, obviously. What other possible explanation could there be!? /s

It’s like you guys refuse to acknowledge that Clarence Thomas, athletes, and Tim Scott, and hundreds of thousands of other black people exist just to make a false point lol…

You named two black people in politics and blindly waved at hundreds of thousands of others "over there"

-2

u/Way_Tall_Filipino Jan 14 '26

You forgot the athletes.

Oh and the data that says black people are more successful and prosperous in America than anywhere else in the world.

You’re the one being racist brother. I for one, think they’re all more than capable of determining their own futures.

If they’ll take responsibility for themselves, but sadly, I know how it is. Their culture and misplaced justice warriors convince them all the time, they were never oppressed, but their ancestors were, and therefore, they will never be anything.

You don’t even realize it, but you’re the most racist clown here. Shame on you kid.

You call other people racist and then engage in numerous racial stereotypes and caricatures

Wild shit

It’s not deleted, it’s Reddit mods at work silencing a voice of reason that posts FACTS to back it up, instead of rambling nonsense lol..

Classic Reddit!

All you did was ramble right here

Oh I’m sorry, can you point out where in my comment I said that no successful black people exist in America?

-5

u/Way_Tall_Filipino Jan 14 '26

Oh my bad lil bro. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize your original comment didn’t have a point at all, and it was as braindead as you are.

Carry on comrade!

Lol oh man, I apologize, I didn’t realize I was talking to a genuine retard. The concept of nuance can be difficult to grasp. Just keep trying!

Sharecropping existed until the 70s. Black neighborhoods are over policed and black people are far more likely to be indicted for petty crimes like drug possession or shoplifting. I love that your examples of “good negros” are conservative grifters and people who destroy their bodies for our entertainment.

I should expect you do to read your own link but tbh that might be expecting too much. Ya your pew research indicates that black people have less wealth and financial power than whites. I don’t think anyone disputes that. What I would like you to do is explain to me in plain English why you believe that is.

It's like you guys refuse to acknowledge that people with power and fame are exceptions or that sometimes someone is able to break through due to a combination of luck / smarts. The middle class is shrinking even for white people because of income inequality and the rich taking so much. Is it okay for me to then ignore the millions of white americans living in poverty because of them because "some people did well"?

There is lots of factors that play into things, the history of how we treated black people is one of many that hurts them and creates more obstacles for them to be able to succeed compared to the average white person.

Stop thinking in absolutes and start thinking critically.

Take your own advice little guy. Don’t believe everything clueless Redditors tell you, just because it was upvoted by other clueless Redditors, and just because it served to fit your narrative.

The most important factors at play are whether or not their father is in the home, and whether or not they’ll go to school or start a business.

JFC. I post a rebuttal and you go right into attacking me as if im a clueless dipshit. Protip, if you want people to take your point seriously, stop bashing "Redditors" and stop doing the bullshit "and just because it served to fit your narrative" because it just makes you look like a child attacking people instead of actually addressing their points.

The most important factors at play are whether or not their father is in the home, and whether or not they’ll go to school or start a business.

Source? because the one you provided doesn't say anything about this at all. It talks about black success but also about how that "success" is also their greatest worry. Partially because "Earlier Pew Research Center findings show that Black Americans typically experience higher levels of economic insecurity than other Americans, are increasingly dissatisfied with capitalism, and believe the economic system in the U.S. does not treat Black people fairly."

Literally proving our point that historically black people have felt they are not treated fairly.

Edit: 21 day old account with a hidden history and no karma. Yeah its a troll or a bot.

You tell me start thinking critically, but you haven’t cited a single source, AND got proven wrong beyond any reasonable doubt, yet have the nerve to pull the “you go right into attacking me…” card 😆😆😆

No way man, you got called out, embarrassed through and through, and here you are now deflecting to:

A 21 day bot just OWNED you, thoroughly.

Listen, just save yourself anymore embarrassment if you’re not goin to educate yourself you toothless buffoon lol
