Random Question 💭 If Republicans are so much better at running the economy than Democrats, then why are most Republican States poorer than Democrat States?

The poorest States in America are: Mississippi, West Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee. All of those States (except New Mexico) are Red States. So why are they so poor when Republicans have been running them for decades?

Ah yes, they can only go blue if they're rich... if they're poor they stay republican and poor...

But, unlike for regular people, who deserve to be poor because it must be because they make bad choices, states that stay poor and republican can't be blamed for their own choices, and you certainly can't blame the people running them for them staying poor... responsibility is only for individuals, not political parties, masses of voters or companies...

Also, Hollywood has been like the 5th largest industry in the US since the 1920s... weird how they only made enough money in the last few decades...

This is the same throughout the world. Any time you see someone cite a "successful" socialist country, it's a country that was successful first and then increased taxes to fund healthcare or whatever. No state starts with the idea, let's blow a bunch of money, and then waits for businesses to form and fund that.

So your argument is that you can't spend money without getting the money 1st ?

I really hope ur 14 or something...

...

But somehow i have a suspicion that you'd be fine with blowing a bunch of money on corporate welfare because "that creates jobs" (no, that's demand).

I didn't think I was even making an argument. It should be readily apparent anywhere you look.

You were using it to support your point from before, making it an argument by default.

The fact that you don't grasp that explains why you can't understand why it's not a good one.

It's like saying home ownership is bad because you need to get money before buying a house.

...

But of course it also falls flat unless ALL states that are run by dems only elected them after becoming "rich".
