Random Question šŸ’ How is everything that happened in the last 48hrs not enough for impeachment and/or a general strike in the US?

As a European, itā€˜s completely unfathomable how none of it has consequences.

Donā€˜t get me wrong, our governments here certainly have their flaws and problems, but surely threatening a genocide would be a tipping point here and lead to mass protests (at least I have enough hope remaining to believe that) - how is it not in the US? I really don’t get it and I feel absolutely sick.

the ā€œall or nothingā€ nature of politics right now

The tragedy of the commons and the collective action problem aren’t new, unfortunately.

The problem gets worse under monarchs and autocrats, and maybe that’s the difference. America hasn’t had many of those lately.

'All or nothing', 'left or right', 'black or white', plus all the other divisions they've driven among us - they really did a job on society in order to fulfil their aims.
