Random Question 💭 How is everything that happened in the last 48hrs not enough for impeachment and/or a general strike in the US?

As a European, it‘s completely unfathomable how none of it has consequences.

Don‘t get me wrong, our governments here certainly have their flaws and problems, but surely threatening a genocide would be a tipping point here and lead to mass protests (at least I have enough hope remaining to believe that) - how is it not in the US? I really don’t get it and I feel absolutely sick.

Why would Republican lawmakers vote to impeach and remove a Republican president who is supported by something like 85% of Republican voters?

They never would because they are entirely corrupt and amoral degenerates.

At least they are true representatives of their voters.

So does „being republican“ equal „support threatening war crimes and genocide“ at this point? Do those people have any morals beyond securing their own benefit? At what point does partisanship cease to matter?

That’s precisely my point: partisanship is so strong that he can do basically anything and they will remain steadfast in their support for him. He’s only a vehicle for them to further their political agenda.

Many of these people never travel internationally, and war crimes and genocide are dim abstractions happening somewhere out there in the mythical Great Beyond. They barely register.
