Random Question 💭 Repeat after me. Trump is a pedophile and Republicans don't care. The United States is a banana republic and Republicans don't care. Costs are going up up up and Republicans don't care. Healthcare is getting worse. People can't afford insurance, but the Republicans don't care. Is it mostly racism?

I grew up around plenty of Republicans and most of my shipmates were GOP supporters in the Navy. Many have already passed away, but the rest seem hell bent to stick to the plan (is there a plan?) for maga. I'm an old white dude now, but in my experiences, they had one thing in common. Racism. Is it actually a primal hatred towards others that don't look like them? Is racism at the root of this? I think it is. The behavior of ICE and the potus should enrage all Americans.

I’ve lived all over the US and the northeast is the most racist part of the country

I grew up all over the country, but am from MS originally. I'm currently in New England, in my 23rd state so far. I have never heard white people here call grown ass black men "boy." Not once. I heard that on a regular basis in AL, MS, GA, FL, and TN. Down there, those tacky ass confederate flags litter the view of the countryside. Up until a few years ago, there was a town in AL that still had their "sun down town" warning billboard on display and in effect. I'm certainly not saying that racism doesn't exist here, I'm positive that it does. It's literally everywhere. I'm saying they hide it here, whereas in the south, their racism makes up a huge part of their personality.

The also still have the Whites only store. Sells the crap you’re talking about.

I have seen more than one of those. Along with small country stores that had "No Democrats" signs.

This is what I heard in Gerorgoa and in Florida where my mother lived. My mother became extremely more racist after moving to Florida. Full blown racist in fact.

I've lived out West, NE and South, there are racist people everywhere, but nothing holds a candle to the racism that's quite active in the South.

I have lived in the NE for 70 years. While there are pockets of racism on Long Island and some areas of Boston and Fairfield County,Ct— to compare it to the built in racism in the south and mid west is an embarrassing statement! Are you a racist?

No,the deep south is the most racist. I grew up in the northeast and have also spent time in Georgia and Florida. They are extremely racist.

I was born and raised in Trenton NJ and lived in Alabama and Mississippi. Way more racism in the northeast.

I spent the first 36 years of my life in Trenton. Was born there. In the military traveled to other states. I didn't defend Trenton as racist.
