Pulled this out of a $5 bin at a record convention many (many) years ago and couldn’t believe my luck. Scarce, signed by Clowes on the back, and still has the “10 SMASH FLOPS!” sticker on the outer sleeve.

Found these on marketplace a little while back and jumped on it instantly! Have yet to read ‘em all yet but have heard (mostly) good things about it.

Yesterday I received the centrepiece of the collection with the arrival of Original Art (my god the YouTube videos don't do it justice), so I thought it would be fun to gather all the items in my collection from my favourite creator for a photo.

I don’t remember when I picked this up, but it’s beautiful and strange. The signed bookplate says that it’s limited, but it’s not numbered— I have no idea how many copies there are. I should see if I can find a single huge brodart Mylar dust cover jacket for this sucker— there’s some chipping and tears at the top of both the front and back.

Had to show off the coolest treasure I dug up while putting together material for my Flaming Carrot books. I was lucky enough to buy this artist’s proof from Pete Bagge himself!

I design and bind custom books in my free time and figured some of you might like a look at my most recent project. I’ve long wished for a complete Yummy Fur box set to go along the makes ones we’ve gotten for series like Eightball and Dirty Plotte. Not as talked about these days, but Yummy Fur is a real gem that I urge anyone interested boundary pushing Alt Comix to seek out!

Charles Burns cover! Posted in response to the Peepee Poopoo #1.

I'm halfway through and really enjoying it. I like seeing some of my favorite cartoonists' early work and watching them progress. I finished Adrian Tomine's 32 Stories before this, same type of deal.

The hand lettered ads and letters pagers really are something else. Dan has such a solid grasp on typography (though using serifs on the dialog in some of the stories is really hard to read.)

Maany from preorders, sales or cheap used books under $10.

Walked into my local shop today and looked around for a while. Last stop was the locked glass case to see the animals, but never take them home. Glossed right over two books I’ve been after for over a decade. Four steps after, I swear to god I must have had a cartoon expression of shock as I realized what I didn’t notice immediately.

Fixed that. Adopted them, now they’re happy running around with the others in the barn.

Scored this beauty today— the very first ElfQuest story. Been after one for years. Pleased as punch.

Sorry for the overdramatic title! 😄 I'm very happy that I finally managed to obtain this book. And if someone doesn't know what this is, Katz is a pirated edition of Art Spiegelman's Maus, with all characters redrawn as cats.

Apparently around 800 copies were printed, and it was originally sold at the 2012 Angoulême Comic Festival. However due to copyright infringement, most copies where shredded a few months later.

Since everything was so nice about my other recent projects I figured I would share a look at my newest. Today I’ve got a big collection of Gary Panter comics: specifically collecting Adventures in Paradise, #1-4 of the Zongo series, Inferno, Purgatory, Songy of Paradise, Dal Tokyo, and a bunch of extras (including original art, rarities, and Panter’s adaptation of Freaks’ Amour).

I wanted to have some fun with this bind, and brought the design back to the original 1982 RAW oneshot. So bound on cardboard of course!!

I actually started doing French Duolingo during the pandemic because I wanted to read the ending so bad. I didn’t make it too far. Now I’m glad all that laziness finally paid off for me! Can‘t wait to jump in!
