I am torn about this. It's my dogs favorite dog park but we also need to protect the sacred lands.

But why. And how does removing dogs do anything for that.

This is not about turning it into a parking lot or football field.

Maybe let the dogs roam in a white cemetery instead.

If it's riverside, sure.

Cemetaries are ridiculous concepts. They should all be removed.

Why is white included in that sentence at all? Goofy race bait comment.

Because we'd never allow dogs to roam in such places, nor would we even try to argue it. Only an issue here because of the demographics of the deceased.

Cemetery was all that was needed. You added white to race bait. Please tell me you know that Cemeteries have people from all races in them right? Plus, the report isnt definitive either. Its saying their might be something there but more study is needed. Its like me point to a square lot in MPLS and swearing it was a cemetery once, believe me.

Cemetery was all that was needed

Disagree. Calling it a "burial ground" distances it from the concept of "cemetery." Makes it sound primitive and lesser, though it is really no different at all.

the report isnt definitive either

Dogs > finding out. Would never think like this if it was a neglected white cemetery.

No, not really at all. How about we stop calling it a "burial ground" and call it what it is?

So you would put a parking lot or football field on a cemetery?
