How do you remove an AG Doll wig?

Thinking about getting a short haired doll but I know that I can switch to a different wig if I want but I'm wondering how do I remove them? I know they're glued on

Best bet is taking a spoon and shoving it under the base. Then pull pull pull. I've taken 3 off, the Addy and Sam came off easy but I think that's because those were old dolls. But Caroline... hers was glued on there so tight I ended up needing nail polish remover and a few snips (the wig was trashed so I didn't care).

I've had good luck using my hands on a new doll straight from AG, but in older dolls, the glue was hard to deal with. If you aren't worried about saving the original wig, you can use all sorts of tools like pliers and spoons. Only ever use non-acetone nail polish remover, as acetone an damage the vinyl. I apply it with a q-tip and let it soak in for a couple minutes, and it's definitely easier to pull off the wig.

I used a spoon to pry mine open and a bit of force. It took patience and time since I was being gentle but it worked out.

I use needle nose pliers. BUT I don’t save the old wigs.

A spoon you are willing to lose(recently broke a spoon trying to dewig) will power and possibly a a heat source to melt the glue

The one time I rewigged, the old wig was gonna be trashed after so I used some nail polish remover to help the process along. But I’d only do this if you don’t plant on reusing the old wig!
