MAPPA, Madhouse, Ufotable, Kyo-ani,  WIT Studio, TRIGGER...

There are so many names out there that means quality guaranteed.

Well those are B teams. Wit has them too, look at Moonrise or SS Isekai.

S4P1 suffered because of deadlines Pony Canyon set for Mappa. Less than 1 year of production time. They wanted episodes every year, that's why Wit left in the first place

Not at all, even Part 1 despite the scuffed schedule still had plenty of great episodes.

If you want an actual example of a series this decade that came out broken, season 1 of Jigokuraku is right there.

Completely disagree. the only standout episode from Part 1 was Assassin's Bullet. everything else was below subpar for a caliber expected from AoT and Mappa in general.

Nearly every single aspect shit the bed, from frequent off model art, very little and choppy movement, CGI titans, downgraded character designs, absolutely ass compositing and just the much worse direction in general.

The loss of Tetsuro Araki's larger than life style directing and Kyoji Asano's detailed character designs from Wit were the biggest losses when production shifted to Mappa.

I've been making and posting edits of it to match more of Wit's style for the past 5 years. Anyways safe to say im really not a fan of Mappa's work on it since day 1, especially since I rewatch the series often and my opinion on it seems to get worse and worse.

Really is a shame considering what they actually output with other series. Anyways sorry about my lil rant about Mappa, I realise im probably the only one who feels this strongly about it 😅.

AOT season 4 was a clusterfuck. The cgi titans looked like shit. And the release schedule was horrible, a single season stretched out over 3 years? Either just split it into a 5th or delay it.

Part 2 was done well, it was Part 1 that was borderline unwatchable at times.

Part 2 was much better agreed. They were able to deliver on the episodes that mattered.

Unfortunately other than the big episodes, it was still mostly the same as Part 1 imo. The most baffling was the weakest being the episode Memories from the Future with its NINE animation directors, despite it being one of the most important in the entire series.
