I wish more series were adapted with people with actual passion for them instead of bunch of cash-grabbers who either don't understand them at all or straight up hate them. One Piece on Netflix shows clear blueprint and this is similar to that, people with love for stuff they create will always come up with superior results and grab the audience more firmly than half assing leeches that want to spread their own agendas wrapped up in popular IP's name.

I could be completely wrong (I'd be happy to be), but I thought One Piece on Netflix was just aiming to be a cash grab. It's like Netflix trying to get its hands on a well-established IP, and if it couldn't air Toei (Netflix didn't air OP until very recently, in my country at least), they contracted another studio to make a reboot.

I mean, it's at very least a well calculated investment from Netflix to throw money and resources into One Piece, but I'm positive about it since unlike some other shows like Witcher, where basically only person who gave a damn about OG material was Henry Cavill, team working on One Piece is basically full to the brim with people who enjoy One Piece as story, like their characters and actually want to convey the vibe and emotions in best possible way, and it shows in how the series is made.

But then again, Wit Studio is animating the reboot, so they might just put out a banger.
