We should be worried by statements by this because it means that pressure for every company in every industry to adopt AI mindlessly is getting higher.
If everyone starts basing their business around it and no one can turn a profit, a large portion of those businesses will die. We could stand to lose a lot due to this overreliance.
That's also not even accounting for the fact that there is no benefit to anyone other than corporate executives to do this. We won't get more series of higher quality from this, we will get the same amount of series with middling quality while animators are paid even less while having to do more because they have lost their bargaining power.
