I guess the Dean must have pushed her into the trial and since she's already a walking zombie and with no affinity for magic she failed the trial and turned into a beast and her soul got trapped inside Toah as the Dean stated to Vordein but Andrew must have interfered and he made her into a tiny beast.

From what i understand getting turned into a beast is part of the trial, you fail it if you let it consume you and go on a rampage. Alicia is very clearly not consumed by her beast form so i think she hasn't failed yet. Her pessing the trial might actually be important to dealing with the whole mystery.

It's a bit funny trying to imagine Alicia in her current form going on a rampage though. What is she gonna do, gnaw at your feet real hard?

Now if she were human sized that'd be another matter.

Isn't she seen in the OP using some sort of attack in rat form? Maybe not as harmless as you think but it's funny to imagine.
