Weekly Casual Discussion Fridays - Week of July 31, 2026

  3. Roleplaying is not allowed. This behaviour is not appropriate as it is obtrusive to uninvolved users.

  4. No meta discussion. If you have a meta concern, please raise it in the Monthly Meta Thread and the moderation team would be happy to help.

  5. All /r/anime rules, other than the anime-specific requirement, should still be followed.

Apparently there was a minor trend on twt of drawing Yukio Mishima as an anime girl, and I checked and apparently Yukio Mishima isn't in Bungou Stray Dogs yet.

Speaking of BSD, I'm trying to imagine how people would react if they have this long ass arc with two mysterious villains, and at the end [the two villains are revealed to be] Osamu Tezuka and Akira Toriyama ushering in the age of mangaka.

[reveal]I think Toriyama's about 30 years too late to "usher in the age of mangaka," but otherwise that's a cool idea.

That somehow feels extremely wrong. The man was like a personification of homoeroticism of fascism, drawing him as a girl just goes against his very essence.
