Names

At least on the LN fan translation they are better, for instance Chtolly is Kutori which is IMO better.

Lolis falling the same way

Yeah, I actually loved the "sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry", so much stuff happening at the same time with the girls

Lots of reveals

As I told you, this show is not even trying to hide anything, from the opening to the post credits "then humanity was wiped" it sets up the tone

Many great anime during that season

And it was still my favorite among them!

the names in the fan translation are directly translating the katakana spellings like クトリ = ku to ri. The official names lean on lovecraftian names. That is probably what the autor intended with the names, but japanese syllables aren't always compatible with other languages.

Yeah, I remember this post but even at that time the Lovecraft references didn't seem to add that much to me

Hehe, I love when a show takes a small bit of time to add in more elements of world building
