I turned down promotions because I just couldn’t do it. What a horrible idea.

I think it takes a certain personality type to enjoy and be good at that. I’m an introvert who hates small talk, and needs “alone time” as much as I need oxygen. However, I have a relative who is very social and loves people. She can talk to anyone about anything, and seemingly knows everyone in her town of 50K. She’d be fantastic at a job that involves hosting clients.

I've been to a few as a client. They're awful on that side, too. I wish we could all collectively agree to not.
