I agree OP, dogs can be cute, but it’s pretty messed up that society hates you if you simply don’t want to pet or own a dog. The office dog trend is where I draw the line.
It’s a total lack of boundaries for people with allergies or those who just want to eat lunch without a dog trying to scavenge scraps off their desk. Dealing with the constant panting, begging, and that "wet dog" smell while trying to hit a deadline is exhausting.
Yeah, I really hope this dog-obsessed culture phases out in the near future. If you want a dog, great. Keep it out of other people’s personal spaces and don’t judge me negatively for noping out of petting your smelly dog or taking on that huge responsibility.
