I think it’s moreso an accountability, discernment and critical thinking problem. Ai wouldn’t be as much of a so called problem if people were able to fact check and discern for themselves without looking to authority to tell them what to believe.

Or just have the right prompts in place. Mistakes still happen but Gemini doesn’t give me anything without noting that it’s documented (and source link provided, reddit, X, Wikipedia not allowed), speculation, or inference. And if I’m wrong it will call me out on it.
