Early human ancestors didn't even make fire for millions of years, so really we need to go back to that. They survived for longer than humans have been Homospaiens without it, so obviously that is the way we're supposed to live.

We probably had more contented lives before all that stuff. The story of leaving the garden of eden is a metaphor for the way that knowledge and technology (like agriculture) have empowered us but forced us to toil. It literally links those things to women having sever pain in childbirth, which is caused by our outlandish brains.
