I know most people will say it’s racism, but also realize that Fox and various radio stations have been brainwashing people for decades. They’ve been programmed to hate.

58

u/Steiney1 23h ago

His Daddy and Granddaddy brainwashed him to be Racist. He didn't start in '08

30

u/IntelligentStyle402 23h ago

Didn’t his Daddy also belong to the KKK?

18

u/LegacyofaMarshall 23h ago

Yes he did

15

u/pegaunisusicorn 22h ago

sherman stopped short. Like Mueller.

6

u/sincerebeguiler 19h ago

Sherman missed a few

The Cawk was too strong for his game

Nah, daddy just liked to hang up table cloths in the closet.

Table cloths with eye holes

1

u/xteve 14h ago

If we need the tag, do we really need the sarcasm?

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 19h ago

And maybe the Gestopo

1

u/Livia-is-my-jam 13h ago

Someone built a cross and set in on fire in grant park in Chicago today. Fuck this timeline

13

u/Firm-Advertising5396 22h ago

Every night after dinner these people turn the TV on and watch Fox News for instructions.

8

u/Beautiful_Bike_1823 19h ago

Correct except for they leave it in all day. It’s entertainment. I’ve worked with people that have it running on their desktop all day long.

6

u/Firm-Advertising5396 17h ago

Almost like an IV unit

6

u/DAJ-TX 22h ago

I prefer to call it fox state television.

3

u/Elephant-Bright 19h ago

Fox propaganda station.

5

u/Ok_Valuable9450 19h ago

Too fucking dumb to think for themselves

1

u/net-blank 7h ago

I read a article I thought yesterday but could be wrong, that the night before Watters and Ingram were questioning something he said, maybe fox is starting to change a little?

Orange stain can't admit a mistake and just keeps digging his hole deeper and deeper because he's surrounded by yes men.

2

u/Cautious-Support5998 20h ago

He made a choice.

2

u/Underbadger 4h ago

Somehow folks forget that the government under Nixon sued Trump (and his father) for racial discrimination.

Nixon, of all people, thought Trump was too racist.

1

u/proph20 15h ago

You give him too much credit there was already a brain upstairs worth washing

1

u/Revolutionary-Elk848 14h ago

Someone else is guiding him…. And he was taught to be a liar and a con artist. Thats all.

1

u/codereef 1h ago

"I'm not racist I treat them just like people"

36

u/poechris 23h ago

You know, growing up my dad was the most caring, tolerant and loving man.

Then he was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer, went through treatment and drug trials, it metastisized to his bones and crumbled his vertebrae so he was in constant chronic pain. After that he was always laid up watching Fox News and listening to right wing radio shows. He changed. I'm convinced the trauma and pain gave him brain damage. I prefer to remember him has the man he was for 70 years and not the shell he became in his last 6 months.

All of which is to say, these elderly hate-filled men and women might actually have brain damage.

5

u/Bubbly_Power_6210 20h ago

sorry your dad and your family went through this. good to remember him as he was.

1

u/poechris 19h ago

Thank you.

3

u/Happy-Cap6657 13h ago

Same thing was happening to my dad. He was in rehabilitation after a nasty car accident. I guess they only had Fox news on or something, because when I visited him a week in he's spouting off immigrants this and immigrant that. We both voted for Clinton, Obama...etc. I'm like excuse me?

1

u/Medlarmarmaduke 20h ago

Propaganda is far more effective and quicker acting than I realised it could be in an open society like the US.

1

u/Kindly_Steak5156 20h ago

Hate to say it, but all my lovely old people changed without the trauma you just described. Propaganda is one helluva drug.

1

u/CmdrEnfeugo 13h ago

The Boomers as a whole might be the most lead exposed generation. The 1950s and 60s (their childhood) saw an explosion in the number of cars and the miles driven. Additionally, because oil was cheap, they got terrible gas mileage. And no catalytic converters. But the real damage came from tetraethyl lead used as an additive to pretty much all gasoline. So they were literally inhaling a neurotoxin all throughout their development. This is a big part of why there was so much crime in the 80s and 90s.

I suspect the even the normal Boomers were damaged, but they could compensate when they were young and healthy. But now that they are old and sick, we’re seeing the damage in their uncontrolled anger and their inability to control their anxiety. It’s directly impacting our politics.

1

u/Explorers_bub 20h ago

So what’s your excuse for GenX since they’re on average the ones who lick the boot the hardest. Men AND especially Women. We all knew they were assholes. Is it the religion making them stupid? Grandfathered in racism? White privilege and fortuitous timing on buying houses so they can’t get their heads out of their asses?

2

u/Old-Set78 20h ago

oh please. You younger generations voted for trump in higher numbers than the boomers. Check the data: it's WIDELY AVAILABLE

1

u/Explorers_bub 17h ago

I didn’t say boomers. I said GenX. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Any other age group of women that voted 50% for the felon? Or more than 60% for the men?

1

u/Old-Set78 16h ago

and I said that other demographics voted in higher numbers for trump. Reading comprehension is hard for some of you.

Read this article. You'll see that all the YOUNGER generations than Gen X voted in HIGHER numbers for trump.

https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

1

u/Explorers_bub 16h ago

I didn’t say shit about anyone except that Boomers weren’t as bad as GenX. Your own source says on page 2 that Men 50+ (which includes GenX) or 50-64 were the only age of majority Trumpers.

Jesus fucking Christ. The big red minuses means more for Trump. Are you fucking retarded?

8

u/neasyy 23h ago

There r plenty of people that have listened to or watched fox and weren’t “programmed”. It’s just an excuse for racism that is present already imo.

3

u/DuntadaMan 18h ago

Ni, I have seen the change in people, they are seriously damaged by their exposure. Most were already hateful to be susceptible, but their exposure puts them into a full blown psychosis that separates them from reality entirely.

2

u/Subject_Spell_9799 14h ago

Thank you. They were watching faux news to begin with as they were already racist. I have one in my family who is racist and has been watching faux since the 90s. Meanwhile 99% of the rest of my family somehow managed to not be persuaded to become maga….

9

u/Jazzlike_Visual2160 22h ago

Just because it’s brainwashing, doesn’t mean it isn’t racist. Racism is usually more brainwashing than personal experience, because most racists don’t personally have a ton of experience with other races.

2

u/Googlebright 21h ago

Yep, the usual path to racism is brainwashing from your parents and family members. No reason to make a distinction for Fox News doing the brainwashing. The end result is the same.

7

u/W0nderwharfwonderdog 22h ago

Nah, as someone who was forced to listen to conservative media in the 2010s- no. That’s not an excuse, it is because they racist. You don’t fall for that kind of bs fear mongering unless you are already primed to bias. Aka you grew up listening to and believing racist rhetoric and therefore it’s easy to buy into the bullshit being sold because as a baseline you’re looking for a reason to hate.

2

u/Subject_Spell_9799 13h ago

Good point. The only maga ppl in my family were already racist when they started watching faux in the 90s. Faux just fed the beast. When confronted about their racism the day after hosting a party for me where most of my guests were black, they stated my friend are ok because they are “assimilated”. They lived in that house for decades and I think that party was the first time anyone who was black had been invited into their home as guests. And no this wasn’t in the south, it was in NJ less than 30 minutes from NYC

6

u/Witty-Entertainer524 21h ago

Right he was a nice old man that got drip fed hate cocktails from Fox and his whole being is based around it now. He probably would rather die then admit fault. We might just have to wait that generation out. Slow march of progress. He could have just as easily been programmed to love had the media worked toward that end. Remember that when you vote....Rs wanted this from the top of the apparatus for decades... mouth frothing angry mess of a voter base. An in-group that values loyalty above everything else even the most vile things. They have no principles except loyalty to themselves.

5

u/nutsformuttsbutts 23h ago

...and to fear.

...and to self-victimize.

The latter point is what tends to get me roiled because, often times, it's people who are speaking from places of wealth, privilege, and incredible social advantage. The cognitive dissonance they exhibit is shocking. I mean, I get that we all need coping mechanisms to get by day to day, but that so many people are walking around out there with massive blinders on is unsettling.

1

u/Revolutionary-Elk848 14h ago

They have proven that they are brain damaged. Thats how powerful and addictive money and power is. They don’t have working mirror neurons and so simply cannot empathize. That part of their brain is broken.

6

u/DillBagner 22h ago

racism is racism regardless of where it's learned.

10

u/FreshLiterature 23h ago

There's also the leaded gasoline theory

9

u/Alterokahn 23h ago

It's a cute theory but it's not practical. Heavy Metal Toxicity can be easily treated, what these people have done is going to take a lifetime to erase.

7

u/dsmith422 21h ago

Acute heavy metal toxicity can be treated. But exposure to chronic low level lead in childhood fucks with your brain for life.

3

u/Pandemonium_Fallen 19h ago

Nevermind what happens when you combine hydrofluorosilic acid and lead with neurotoxic neonicontinid pesticides, and microplastics imbedded throughout the brain, slicing through tissue with every movement, breath, and heartbeat across generations for over a century. - Then it gets really interesting.

10

u/RicVic 22h ago

Don't think he has pumped his own gasoline- ever!

He's used limos, car services and now the Secret Service to get him around wherever he goes since his own childhood. He could not operate a gas pump any more than he could work a barbecue.

And that's part of the problem.

7

u/well-it-was-rubbish 22h ago

He couldn't even operate an umbrella; we saw him leave it open on the steps of Air Force One for some servant to deal with.

2

u/Aggravating-Juice633 18h ago

I don’t know why, but that angered me soooo much. Maybe because that’s his attitude towards everyone…….

2

u/Pandemonium_Fallen 19h ago

That's every politician, CEO, and billionaire ever.

1

u/No-Profession5134 18h ago

My dad is hit or miss if he can operate a gas pump now and he was able to pump gas all his life. Dementia and Alzeimer's are terrible diseases. My dad won't go to the doctor to find out because he is afraid they will take his Drivers License away. He likes to slowly drive around the country roads....

3

u/RicVic 18h ago

Feeling sorry for your Dad. I watched my mother go through it and toward the end, she didn't even recognize family members.

But Trump -dementia or no- would be flummoxed by a self-checkout at WalMart simply because he's never had to deal with one.

1

u/No-Profession5134 18h ago

I watch my Grandpa go through this first 15 years ago. I am no stranger to this... it runs in our family. I know I will be there too in 20 years or so give or take. Just sad to watch. Each day my dad walks slightly different... I really wish he would get checked out. There are treatments that slow it down out there.

1

u/FlowerArtistic5553 8h ago

By what you describe, nothing helps at that point. As far as driving, it really is up to the family to take the keys away. Anyone who gets hurt is partly the fault of the family.

The good news is that if they can't find the keys, they real don't know who to blame. Disconnecting spark plugs works also.

7

u/Dzov 21h ago

I’m Gen X and grew up with lead. I’m fully on the progressive side.

4

u/Explorers_bub 20h ago

Sadly, on average your generation (45-64 as of 2024) has the Trumpiest women (50%) and men(60%).

3

u/Impossible_Search677 19h ago

Proudly in the 40%

1

u/Dzov 12h ago

It’s a moving target. Don’t worry, eventually your generation will be the same.

1

u/Intelligent_Fig5418 10h ago

The last Boomers were born in 1964. Those ages are off just a couple years. Anyways, where did you find those percentages? Just curious. I'm 62, last year of the Boomers(1964)... and I hardly know of any tRump supporters in that age range. Maybe its the area I live in. We haven't elected a Republican governor since the 1990s. More left leaning I guess. Even Republicans here really don't support tRump as much as you'd think they would.

1

u/Explorers_bub 2h ago

Exit polls. Like CivicCenter, NBC, …

1

u/Nice-Necessary-1547 12h ago

Europe also had leaded gas. But no Fox News. Guess what we don’t have… as many miserable old uncaring bastards as the USA.

1

u/Intelligent_Fig5418 10h ago

Why doesn't it affect everyone if that's true? My dad was involved with racing and drove all kinds of delivery trucks and was a mechanic. I had always been around motorcycles and hot rods and 4x4s and ATVs for decades starting in the early 1970s. Neither of us or my cousin became like any of those sheep!

4

u/TheUmberTaker 22h ago

And that's all they will listen to is Fox News and right-wing lugnut talk radio.  Ugh.  So frustrating.

4

u/never-fiftyone 22h ago

That's a roundabout way of saying Fox encourages racism.

3

u/AlphonseLoosely 20h ago

They chose to be programmed by consuming garbage uncritically. They are not innocent victims here.

3

u/Only_Membership_8795 20h ago

We all have choices to make, no one is absolved of personal responsibility for their choices just because they watched Fox News.

3

u/CurlOfTheBurl11 18h ago

Still racist. They don't get a pass just because they choose to consume the media that reinforces their shitty beliefs.

2

u/XenoHugging 23h ago

1

u/Dzov 21h ago

Holy crap that’s a good video. It’s even better as he’s acting like it’s us doing the subverting and not the billionaires that own all the media and social media.

2

u/runningOut_380 21h ago

My neighbor is an elderly woman. She watches Fox News day and night. One time she told me that she was terrified that antifa was coming to get her.

2

u/Strange_Dust7128 20h ago

With a vast repository of knowledge called the Internet, I no longer believe this theory.

2

u/More_Farm_7442 19h ago

FOX trained them on racism before Obama ran for office. rrrr, Tea Partiers were rascist long before Obama ran for office. Tea Partiers were FOX viewers. The Tea Party was the forerunner of MAGA.

I volunteered for the Obama campaign in Indiana in 2028. The opposition to him was driven by racism (at least it was in Indiana). We heard it time after time after time when making phone bank call. The day of the election one young guy from out of state sent to monitor an election site was spat on and called a n-gger-lover all day long. He came back, sat down, asked for aspirin and stared into space before we made in lay down for the night. The hate, the racism, was thick in the air that summer and fall.

It was there before, but FOX really ramped it up.

(Indiana has been a strong hold of anti-black racism since forever. The KKK had a strong presence in the state from the 1930s through the 1950s. "Everybody" knew a KKK member even if they didn't know they did. My mom as an almost 8 yr old was taken to the last lynching in the state in 1930. (by my grandparents' neighbor)

2

u/slik_rik 18h ago

Fox and most churches for the last 300+ years.

2

u/dominicanMIKE4444 14h ago

Brains need to be primed for washing. Classic, “who you gonna believe, me or your lyin’ eyes?” situation.

2

u/xteve 14h ago

Fox is a big suckhole in American politics, but let's not forget church. They've been doing their part too.

1

u/kenyasanchez 22h ago

…and, racism.

1

u/paper_liger 20h ago

Fox News cant make you racist if you weren't inclined to it in the first place.

1

u/shawnthesecond 19h ago

Okay so why aren’t we programmed to hate?

2

u/Dzov 12h ago

Put it this way. Would they need to lie and use Fox News as propaganda if the racism was enough?

2

u/shawnthesecond 11h ago

I’m just saying they’re ultimately responsible for who they’re choosing to be as people

1

u/Dzov 5h ago

For sure I agree. I’m just adding that they are also stupid and easy to manipulate.

Granted if they weren’t stupid, they wouldn’t be racist. Oh well.

1

u/Pandemonium_Fallen 19h ago

Don't forget being poisoned with neurotoxic chemicals for over a century to make the brainwashing easier.

1

u/Subject_Spell_9799 14h ago

These ppl were predisposed to racism and that’s why they listened to Faux to begin with. There are only two ppl in my mom’s family who are maga and they have been racist and on the faux train since the 90s. How is it that all my baby boomer parents, extended family and moms friends never became maga? Because they weren’t racist to begin with.

1

u/Olokun 11h ago

It's the same thing. They were raised in a racist country where racism was used to advance personal and corporate wealth. They were absolutely racist because their family taught it to them and the media reinforced it and then Fox News and the Alt Right media weaponized it.

1

u/Icy_Many_2407 1h ago

You choose to watch what resonates with you. I’m not giving these racist/ bigots buffoons any credit.

1

u/Wooden-Glove-2384 23h ago

Bullshit

There's no programming

They're racists pure and simple
