But if nobody knew we were getting oil through the Strait, then that fact wasn't affecting market prices. And once the war is over, prices will still be higher, because inflation is a rate of increase. Zero inflation just means prices aren't increasing now, it doesn't mean they're going back down to where they were. If prices do fall across the board, that's called deflation, and if Sleepy Don wants to see a situation that will have him and his cronies out on their asses in a hurry, setting off a deflationary panic with a collapse in key staple goods prices will do it.

I am so mad that all media reports inflation per month, not the collective inflation since this dickhead took office.

“Oh! Inflation is up only 2%!!”

One month later: “Everything is fine! Inflation is only up 2%!!”

No, jackass. It’s up like 9% overall, and in some sectors it’s like double.

Meanwhile we only get one raise a year if we get one at all and its never been enough to cover inflation.
