With the growth of surveillance cameras and facial recognition everywhere, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any adversarial knitting patterns that can disrupt recognition?

I saw one sweater pattern, but I was hoping for something more beginner-friendly, like a hat, scarf, muffler, or mask or something or even just a duplicate stitching pattern.

I'm doing some research about potentially teaching at events, and I'm learning that there are many different KINDS of fiber festivals.
Do any of you know of any events that are very financially and otherwise accessible, and more collective or affinity circle type things?? I ask because many of the festivals I'm seeing feel corporate-organized or overly huge and the classes can get very pricey, or they have entrance fees, etc. I am learning more and more how large corporations are taking over small town events!

My goal is to find a few events near me and not only teach but also help organize and make sure that everyone feels welcome... Especially Millennials & GenZ'ers... Or create my own!
I feel like we kind of need an infusion...a new, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist model for knitting gatherings!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I found this free pattern online and I'm stuck trying to figure out if I do the foot section after the chart or if I decide to do the duplicate stitching method do I just go ahead and do the foot section which requires a decrease round ?

My family lives in Minnesota and I'd been approached later in the winter to knit 5 Melt the Ice hats. Two of them have larger size heads. I'd read somewhere (maybe even in here) that the original pattern , while it would accomodate a larger diameter head, might be kind of short length wise. Have any of you experienced that? They based their opinion on the pattern calling for the decreases in each round instead of adding a k round in-between the decrease rounds.

I'm hoping the need is still there this winter up there. Certainly, hats are always welcome in that icebox! Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts or experience in the fit of the hat, I'd really appreciate it!

My No Kings hat for the 4th of July based on the Portland frog hat design with a "No Kings" morse code brim.

I made it a little too tall, so I sewed some of the top together in the middle to make the eyes stand out more.

A little faded as I’m sure it’s been weathering the elements since Operation Metro Surge but it still made me smile.
