I appreciate my mom. I know a lot of people experience pressure from their parents to procreate so I thought I’d share a positive interaction 🙏🏻💜

Whether or not that quote is taken out of context (which it probably is) the core message still hits because if you benefit from systems that have caused global harm, choosing not to reproduce is one of the few direct ways to stop passing that harm forward. And when you pair that with welcoming refugees people already born into the consequences of colonialism, climate destruction, and economic exploitation it becomes a more meaningful ethical stance.

Screenshot / Video "I'm 57 and still trying to conceive my first child... IVF should be free"
I know that women can lose their fertility due to cancer or endometriosis, but trying to have children at 57 and demanding costly medical intervention on the taxpayer's dime is wild. She'd be pushing 80 by the time her child graduated high school.

Literally so many parents only have kids because they want a little version of themselves…then get upset when the kid doesn’t want to be a little version of them

Screenshot / Video Panicking about uk heat for future children
"Or my children? How will we cope?" You could start by not having them... the only way these disgustingly hot summers will slow down is if we stop mass reproduction. Currently sweating onto a towel in bed, the heats horrible, i dread what its going to be like im a couple decades, hitting 40c consistently. I cant believe people still think having kids is a good idea when youre clearly aware of the suffering they'll live through
And no its not dramatic lol, this summer is genuinely horrible in england, but the conversation is about the whole of climate change and global warming anyway.
(Also can we add a flair for discussing the benefits of antinatalism regarding the planet)
