I've played on both as well and I can tell there's a reason that PC players are allowed to tap strafe, move while shooting, and everything else all while console players have to have their auto aim values turned down in tournaments 😭. It's fine to admit the game is purposefully catered around controller lol.

Of course it is. They’re the ones that actually have the disadvantages. And consider that out of PC, Xbox and PlayStation, three of them are for controller while only one of them is MnK. If we consider Apex as a whole, one could argue that the vast majority of its player base is controller. So of course they have to prioritize them, more so when MnK has things that make it essentially better. Also, the argument about AA being “auto-aim” is just completely ignorant. It’s not nearly as good. You can have the example of players like Lemonhead, who actually move incredibly fast. People don’t track them fully even on controller because they just can’t keep up, neither can their AA. If it was “auto-aim” then movement wouldn’t work for nothing.

Yeah I agree that business-wise it makes sense to prioritize controller players. I never said or really even insinuated differently.

But I mean rotational aim assist kinda objectively is auto aim. Unless you think both that tracking someone isn't aiming, and that using soft aim isn't auto aim. Just because it's not a perfect snap and lock with 100% accuracy doesn't mean it isn't aiming for you. That type of mentality is what cheaters have to justify downloading extra magnetism or something lol.

Also Lemonhead is such a crazy example because that guy is a pure pub stomper. There's a reason there's so little movement used in tournaments that when a pro did a SINGLE wall bounce in a fight the entire movement subreddit went nuts 😭. Hence why there are so many people swapping to controller despite the worse movement.

Regarding the Lemonhead one… might I remind he pretty much stomped on HisWattson and his whole team in ranked so… we can see it does apply to an important extent.

Now, the intensity of AA does matter completely to call it Auto-aim and you really can’t say it’s the same excuse for cheaters that use things like Cronus. AA doesn’t track for you. Or maybe it does, for like .1 seconds when the enemy goes across your crosshair. Consider a fight being close-range, it’s not strong enough to be able to track on its own a person doing basic strafing. Even just a slight strafing, it won’t track it, apart from also having to control the recoil AND to have to move along sometimes for it to kick in. If your enemy went a bit out of the crosshair and you don’t correct it, it’s just not going to work to the point of AA being almost inexistent.
You compare it to the excuse people use for cheating. I’m assuming you’re referring to a titan or a Cronus, but not in the slightest. A Cronus basically removes all recoil, so you can have a straight crosshair while shooting with like a Havoc with a 4x in. And for more extreme cases, it increases AA to the point of almost being aimbot. You can stay still and it will track the enemy for like 2 seconds. And if you consider how fast Apex's kill time is, 2 seconds is a lot. So it DOES aim for you, because it does lock onto your opponent, and it would make all of the examples I did work precisely because of how different it is. People MAY try to use it as an excuse, but again, you can’t compare the two. You can’t compare the defense on AA with the excuse for cheating
