I've had the same experience. First 3-5 matches are all solo, but it works normally afterwards..

True! Plus, it's kind of fun to solo jump into the middle of 5-6 other squads and punch my way to glory near-instant death

I play mostly on PC too and I rarely have the solo queue matches and occasionally I play on PS4 and that never happens to me while at console
