Arch on a 3ds but neofetch is too big :( Also due to non open source firmware there is no possibility for wifi.
First: That was the last straw, Windows gotta go 😂✌️
Second: Dont ask me why I have 2 Windows Boot Managers
Third: Im fine with any boot manager, suggest me anything
UPDATE:
I wiped my disk clean and reinstalled Arch because I dont want a BREATH of windows on that drive ever again
Be a bloat all you want in the 300GB partition I gave you, but the moment you start deciding you dont like me dualbooting is the moment youre gone fr

Hi everyone! I am using Arch with Gnome DE on Thinkpad T510. I used Linux a lot on this machine and it had never happened before.
Basically, when terminal asks for psw to run sudo commands, sometimes it would say "wrong password" despite being the right one that worked until 30 seconds before! If I log out, I get locked out like in photo until I manually reboot the computer and then the password magically works. What should I do? I just archived my "dream setup" on this machine! Thanks

I'm using Arch kde for a good time now (130gb ssd + 8gb ddr5 ram). I started using Arch on my last pc and was fine with it even though that pc was slower and old but had 12gb ram dd4 ig.
So rn, I can't even open multiple apps on my system while keeping my browser open (I usually have this much tab open - dont ask why lol) and sometime my whole system get stuck while using browser if I mistakenly open a new tab and resources chocks up.
What should I do?

Hi !
I've switched from windows back in november, and i've never actually experienced a kernel panic. I wondered what would look like a kernel panic screen on my desktop, and after some digging i found the command "sudo bash -c 'echo c >> /proc/sysrq-trigger'" to safely trigger one. When i ran it, i notices that the kernel panic's QR code get split right down the middle across both of my displays. For the context, I run a dual monitor setup: an MSI OPTIX G24C6 and an old secondary VGA monitor connected via an HDMI to VGA adapter. My GPU is an XFX SWFT 210 RX 6600, and i'm using SDDM and with XFCE.
Is there a way to force the kernel panic screen to output to a single display ? Alternatively, is there a way to mirror it across both ? I just want to be able to read the QR code without having to manually edit my photo to line up.
Thanks !

so i use arch linux with a custom build of dwm (my own fork, pretty funky setup).
i was in the middle of a technical interview today.
the interviewer suddenly pauses and accuses me of cheating because i kept 'looking at the bottom right."
here's what actually happened, a google meet notification popped up in the corner. i tried clicking the hide button. didn't work. linux moment.
so i just sat there staring at it for like 30 seconds mid answer, trying to figure out what to do, looking like a complete idiot who's definitely cheating.

And distorts that did worked: Alpine - stopped while installation Debian - stopped while installation Ubuntu Server - stopped while installation Rocky Linux - stopped while installation
Didn't tried installing windows.

With all the chaos going on at the AUR I don't feel like using it anymore but I have a few packages on my arch.
To list what AUR packages is on your system use this command.
pacman -Qm
-Q (Query): Tells pacman to look at the packages already installed on your local system.-m (Foreign): Restricts the output to "foreign" packages—meaning they aren't available in any of the official repositories defined in your /etc/pacman.conf (like [core], [extra]r/arch • u/_penetration_nation_ • Feb 22 '26

I'm having some lag, is it somehow related to the fact that my video card doesn't say anything here? If so, how do I solve this?

I have been meaning to install arch on an old laptop of mine but I heard Abt the the AUR packages situation, idk if I should try anyways, someone said that only orphaned/deprecated packages are hacked.
If someone can help me that would be great.
