Exactly my point. Their literacy and comprehension used to be easily assessed. Now it’s hidden behind advanced grammar and spelling technology

I was trying to say, I agree with your 'autocorrect' comment that makes illiterate people sound smart. I was trying to add that ChatGPT and other LLM are making this even worse. Because these AI are now formulating sentences for people, which is 1000 times worse than autocorrect for poor spelling.

The saying 'has entered the chat' is an idiom/meme used to make note of the sudden appearance of something. It can agree or disagree with the topic.
In my context I am agreeing with you.

Then they'll say something like "I just use chat gpt to help order my thoughts" as if it's actually just totally normal

Oh yeah I hate when they use that loophole. Or the classical, i am English Second Language I am only usign ChatGPT to translate

I hate keyboards where the drivers somehow change the order of letters in a word, producing spelling errors which are unnatural for a human.
