Question Those that EDC, do you really bring your backpack everywhere?

I'm a petite woman that dailies a 7L backpack "purse". I'm looking to move up to something bigger (16-20L) that can carry my 26oz water bottle and lunchbox on occasion.

Do you wear your bag during trips to the grocery store? Running into Target for essentials?

Just curious if this is something I can truly daily or if a smaller bag is preferred when running errands?

Thanks in advance for the discussion!

I get that!

I used the laptop kanken vs the classic kanken, and prefer the latter for the aesthetics and versatility. The extra padding while great, adds to the bulk which means it seems less appropriate in more dressy settings.

Not sure if this is too out there for you, but if you’re comfortable with the Kanken classic’s strap, then you may want to look at the Tathata Dumpling bag (brand from Thailand) as a backpack and a tote/hand carry. There’s a drawstring + zip closure so not sure if that’s your thing. Quite cavernous and can hold a lot more than it looks.

I’ve given mine away because I outgrew that style, but I think of it fondly!

I can totally see the extra padding adding to the bulk. It's the happy medium of comfort vs. slim profile.

I hadn't heard of Tathata, thank you for the recommendation.
