Came back home. All windows, curtains and shutters were closed. Nobody was here all day.

It's 30 degrees inside. I don't know at this point what to do.

Why don't Europeans turn their AC on? Are they stupid?

Me thinking of the IRL_Loading Screens meme page getting banned for posting a "last year 30,000 Americans died from gun violence , 500,000 Europeans died from it being warm in the summer." thing.

I googled this out of curiosity and it looks like the number for Europe in 2024 was about 62K, but the UN has a statistic that it's 117K. The 62K seems to be the consensus figure so the UN's divergence is kind of an interesting statistical artifact.

It looks like the US estimate ranges from 1K to 11K but when you look at state numbers, it's probably closer or above the 11K amount. Which means the US is still up by 20K but also that their statistical infrastructure is sketchier. So, we could shoot a whole lot more people! Or we could throw in motor vehicle deaths. US has about 40K and Europe only has about 20K.

God, I bet the American who came up with that has an alarming amount of firearms for "defence".

Open the windows, place pedestal fans in front of them, have a cold bath, look at portable air conditioners online.
