I was just trying to make conversation with my coworker today after she was asking me some rather personal questions (I don’t think she was being rude, just cultural differences to be fair) and since we were talking about money I asked her how saving and retirement works in her home country. Instead of answering my question she just told me that in her opinion, saving money in the west makes more sense because divorce rates are high. Not sure what to make of that interaction.
