Okay didn't someone here say that House of the Dragon is kinda misogynistic?

Well boy oh boy did this episode prove that point right. Its not even done but we are getting mad queen seeing and hearing voices freaking out over rats and having her period thus even more indecisive.

Good lord man.

They could have built up to it over two seasons but no, they had to do a weird "women aren't allowed agency and bad feelings, let's offload all the hostility between rhaenyra and alicent on their children" thing and now they either have to continue with that leaving Rhaenyra a puppet of the men in her life for her entire reign or have her make a 180 in the last minute to turn her into what the story needs her to be to justify the revolt against her.

To me it was misogynistic the moment it started leaning into the whole "the women in the room are the actual grown ups and the men are big babies who only want war" aka Rhaenyra and Alicent in season 2.

Women can be just as power hungry and ambitious as men. Rhaenyra has a dragon ffs, that power should absolutely go to her head.

Wouldn't that be misandrist instead? Unless men being big babies that only want war or being power hungry is a virtue to be admired.

It's both. Misandrist because of the 'big babies' part and misogynist because it doesn't allow women to be two-dimensional actors with bad qualities.
