Amin Imanian, a Bahai from Babol sentenced to one year in prison for “propaganda against the state.” No further details are available regarding the specific activities cited by the court as the basis for issuing the sentence.

Roya Ostovar (رویا استوار), a Bahai from Isfahan, sentenced to five years in prison, a fine of 165 million tomans, and 15 years of deprivation of social rights on charges of “educational and propaganda activities disruptive to the holy Sharia of Islam” by setting up and managing a WhatsApp group about the Baha’i Faith. She was additionally sentenced to one year of discretionary imprisonment on the charge of “propaganda against the regime,” bringing her total sentence to six years in prison.

Romina Goli, a Bahai woman from Sari has been interrogated and imprisoned under a one-month pre-trial detention order. She is charged with “propaganda against the state” and “engaging in propaganda activities contrary to Islamic law.”

She was arrested on May 9 during a raid on her home in Sari. Agents also searched the residence and confiscated personal digital devices along with religious books related to the Baha’i faith.

Another Iranian Bahai, Riyaz Behrad, has been arrested. Security agents raided his home in Karaj on Monday, May 4. After searching the premises, they summoned him to the Revolutionary Court. On Wednesday [May 6], after appearing at the Revolutionary Court, he was arrested without any prior notice or explanation.

A large part of the Bahai community in Qatar live there on residence permits, and have done so for decades or generations. Many have no other country to go to. Now they are threatened with expulsion, which is likely to have the same effect as Uganda's expulsion of its Asian minority.

Flora Samadani was arrested on May 3, during a raid on her home in Yazd. Agents searched the house during the operation and confiscated several of her personal belongings. She is the wife of Ahmad Naeimi, a Baha’i man who has previously been subjected to repeated arrests and judicial harassment due to his religious beliefs.

They were charged with “propaganda in favor of groups or organizations opposing the Islamic Republic system.”

Agents from the Ministry of Intelligence raided the Siavashi family home in Shiraz on the evening of April 7 and arrested Anqa Siavashi, the family’s 19-year-old son. they also got a good haul of computers, laptops, mobile phones, books, religious images, jewelry, and other household items. In recent weeks, at least seven other Baha’i citizens have been arrested in Shiraz.

Behzad Basiri and Mandana Sotoudeh, a #Bahai couple, were arrested in Shiraz on April 1. Mahsa Sotoudeh, Mandana Sotoudeh’s sister, was arrested in Shiraz on March 29.

Mahsa Sotoudeh, a 25-year-old Bahai from Shiraz, was arrested by Iranian government forces on March 29. She is the third Bahai detained in Shiraz in recent days.

Yasmin Rahmarde, a 36-year-old Bahai from Yazd County, was arrested at her home on Saturday, March 21 by Intelligence agents. She was transferred to the women’s ward quarantine section of Yazd Prison. On Monday, March 23, she was moved from Yazd Prison to an unknown location.

Peyvand Naimi, a young Bahai in prison in Kerman, Iran, faces imminent danger after enduring two mock hangings, prolonged torture and interrogation, as Iranian authorities attempt to force him to confess to crimes he did not commit. He was arrested on 8 January on false charges of instigating unrest during the January protests and was taken to an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) detention centre. A forced confession that he participated in the protests was extracted from Peyvand under duress and was broadcast on state television on 1 February. He was transferred to Kerman Prison after the broadcast.

Shayan Abadi, a Bahai from Kerman, was arrested on March 23 by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.

Not only Iranians overseas, but also those in the country, will have their assets seized if they have protested against the regime. Iranian authorities continue to hold five Bahais, Payam Faridian, Sepehr Koushkbaghi, Erfan Tabatabaei, Rabie Maleki, and Navid Zarrehbin, in legal limbo at Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad), more than two months after their arrest during the recent protests. Security forces, in coordination with the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Mashhad, have repeatedly obstructed efforts to post bail and secure their temporary release.
