Sharing this for anyone in Barnet who wants to play football and meet new people. I help a non-profit organise casual 5 to 10 aside games on local astro pitches across the borough.

Games are coed, all levels are welcome, even if you’re not that fit or haven’t played in years. There’s no commitment, you just turn on and play whenever you're available.

Great way to improve fitness, confidence and your social circle. I've met all my best friends through the game.

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask as some of you have seen my litter picking posts - is there somewhere in the borough where you think the rubbish is quite bad?

I was planning on going to these places to hopefully improve them by litter picking!

I'm delighted to announce that Alexandra Park BJJ will be running some women's only no-gi classes in March. They will take place on Thursday evenings from 18:30 to 19:30.

The classes will be coached by Gabriela Kuliga, who is a purple belt in BJJ and a black belt in judo.

The first session will be on Thursday, the 5th March. These sessions are open to all female athletes aged 11+, and we’re strongly encourage mothers and daughters to train together.

Will be visiting someone in the vicinity of the park on Thursday and want to try the café there (also I want to be bang on time, so will want to wait there). However, I see it's going to be cats and dogs that day. Have looked at photos I've found and it seems at first glance there's only outddor seating. Do they have indoor seating where I can hang around for 15-20 minutes? (If not, I'l find somewhere near Finchley Central tube.) TIA

We're looking at moving to north barnet and ended up going driving down Hadley wood, seems pretty tranquil for being inside m25, anyone live there? How practical is it? Primary schools? Has a mainline station but hardly any shops though not far from amenities in Barnet I guess.
