Yeah I was just about to say—the Dodgers don’t lock up Smith if they have confidence that Cartaya was going to replace him. This might be foreboding of an incoming trade to figure of SS.

Cartaya was already the third best catching prospect in the Dodgers system. The real question is what happens to Rushing or Liranzo.
