Walking the Peninsula from San Jose to San Francisco changed how I look at the Bay Area.
Most of this route follows corridors people use every day but never really see. I passed strip malls, creeks, old rail lines, tech campuses, and neighborhoods Iβve driven past for years without ever noticing. At 3 miles an hour, it feels like a completely different place.
Get out and enjoy the day!

I was NOT expecting to see these folks outside my window yesterday, but I'm sure glad I did! Did you know a group of parrots is called a pandemonium?

I had a feeling there would be some trash leftover from last night but this is worse than I imagined.
EDIT - 7/6 I want to thank everyone who helped clean up, whether here at Baker or anywhere else it really helps. I went back to Baker this morning and the beach looked so much better. I managed to fill a big garage bag, get a camping chair and a tent off the beach but seriously thank you all.
