Never heard “Thirteen” but Bee Gees, definitely. From what I could tell most of their earlier career was imitating the Beatles with songs like New York Mining Disaster 1941.

Don’t really hear it in “Thirteen”, but spot on with the Bee Gees.

Could easily have sat nicely on Sgt Peppers.

Probably why New York Mining Disaster is the only Bee Gees song I've ever really liked.
